The Northfield Science Club organized an outing at Pulie Badze, Jotsoma. The main objective of this outing is to create awareness on the local plants and its medicinal uses.

On the day of outing the bus started early morning at 8:30 am and the students along with the teachers in charge were picked along the main road. The bus reached the Puliebadze rest camp around 10:30AM. The students were gathered and briefed them about the activities before heading up to the summit (Puliebadze). The students were strictly prohibited from plucking of plants and flowers because it is banned by the Jotsoma village as the entire forest is considered the protected forest. The students were told to take only the picture of the plants. Many plants of interest were found along the way up to the summit (Puliebadze) but we considered only about ten of them. The plants were identified and decided to be written in the report.

On reaching the top of the summit (Puliebadze) a light refreshment was provided to the students and photos of groups and individuals were taken. Some amount of time were spent at the summit (Puliebadze) and returned to the rest camp for lunch. Around 2 PM we headed back home.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: The Northfield Science Club would like to thank the school authority for making necessary arrangements and providing all the support but for which the outing would not have been successful.
